Enn Christodoulou worked as a first responder in law enforcement and has personal ties to maritime culture through her family’s history in the British and American Merchant Navies. She has a master’s degree in English Literature with a concentration in Renaissance literature and is fascinated by political systems, institutional behaviour, and the psychological impact of secrecy, trauma, and survival, all of which shaped the development this novel.

She enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with friends over good coffee and conversation. She lives in Mesa, Arizona, with her husband and their three cats. Necessary Fictions is her first book.
